BRECKENRIDGE — It took some hot air to get visitors to Breckenridge Ski Resort.
A hot-air balloon made an unexpected landing Saturday morning at the ski area, on Peak 9. Resort spokeswoman Kristen Petitt says the balloon was "blown off course," but it's unclear where it was headed. She says it is believed to have taken off from town.
No one was hurt.
The balloon was packed after it landed safely on the lower Gold King ski run, and ski patrol and lift operators escorted the balloon's passengers off the mountain.
